1. Purpose and scope

These terms are established under Article 19(1) of the Korean Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information. They set out the conditions and procedures for the location-based services Will AI provides using personal location data, and the rights and obligations of users and the operator.

These terms supplement the Will AI Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where they differ from other documents on matters concerning location information, these terms prevail.

2. Operator information (Article 19(1)1)

The operator's trade name, address, and telephone number will be entered in this section when the legal entity is formed and the location-based service business filing is accepted. Will AI has not yet formed a legal entity and does not commercially offer location-based services in Korea before that filing is accepted.

The currently available contact is support@willai.app. Inquiries about location information, requests for access or notification, and infringement reports are received at this address.

A location information manager will be designated after the entity is formed, and their name and contact details will be published in this section.

3. Location-based services offered (Article 19(1)3)

• Daily movement records: routes traveled and places visited are automatically reflected in a chronological timeline.
• Place labeling: users can name frequently visited locations, and the same location is then displayed under that name.
• Stay and movement segmentation: stays and trips are distinguished and used in daily summaries and reports.
• Context enrichment: location-based environmental data such as weather and air quality is retrieved and shown alongside that day's records.
• Will AI does not offer a service that provides personal location data to third parties. If such a service is introduced, the recipient and purpose will be separately disclosed and consented to under Article 19(2), and provision will be notified under Article 19(3).

4. User rights and how to exercise them (Article 19(1)2)

• Partial reservation of consent: users may withhold consent to parts of these terms, to specific purposes of use or provision, or to parts of the location-based service.
• Withdrawal of consent: users may withdraw at any time by revoking location permission in device settings or by contacting support@willai.app. On withdrawal, only location-based features stop; other features remain available.
• Temporary suspension: users may temporarily suspend location collection in device settings at any time while using the app.
• Access and notification requests: users may request access to, or notification of, records confirming the use and provision of their location data. Send a request with the account email to support@willai.app; Will AI responds after identity verification.
• Correction requests: users may request correction of errors in those records.
• Destruction requests: on withdrawal of consent, users may request destruction of collected personal location data and related records, except where retention is legally required, in which case data is destroyed after that period.
• Damages: users who suffer harm from the operator's violation of the Act may claim damages under Article 27, and may apply for dispute mediation or adjudication with the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee or the Korea Media and Communications Commission.

5. Basis and period for retaining confirmation records (Article 19(1)4)

Legal basis: Article 16(2) of the Act requires location information operators to automatically record and retain records confirming the use and provision of location data in their location information system. Will AI records this data automatically to meet that obligation.

Retention period: confirmation records are retained for six months from the time of recording and then deleted automatically. This period is set as the minimum needed to handle user access requests and disputes.

Recorded fields: the type of service that used location data, the time of use, the processing result, and the user identifier. The records capture the fact of use and do not duplicate raw coordinates into a separate log.

Confirmation records are not used for purposes other than providing the service, and under Article 21 are not used beyond the scope stated in these terms or provided to third parties.

6. Purpose and period for retaining personal location data (Article 19(1)4-2)

Purpose: personal location data is retained to reflect daily movement and places visited in the timeline, to maintain user-assigned place labels, and to generate reports and insights.

Retention period: personal location data is retained until the user deletes their account or withdraws consent, and is destroyed without delay at that point. Users may also delete individual records in the app before then.

Will AI collects only the minimum personal location data needed to achieve the collection purpose.

7. Protection of children aged 8 or under and others

Will AI does not permit sign-up by users under 14, and therefore does not provide location-based services to children aged 8 or under.

Under Article 26, a guardian of a child aged 8 or under, a person under adult guardianship, or a person with a severe disability who wishes to consent to the use of personal location data for protective purposes must apply to support@willai.app with written proof of guardianship. In that case the guardian may exercise the rights of the location data subject.

8. Service changes and amendment of these terms

Will AI may change or discontinue location-based services, and material changes are announced in advance through the app or website.

If these terms are amended, the effective date and reason are announced from seven days before that date. Changes unfavorable to users are announced from 30 days before the effective date; if a user expressly objects, this is treated as withdrawal of consent and location-based service provision stops.
